Independent Director
Mr. Yahya Said Abdullah Al Jabri was elected as an independent director to the Towell Group Board of Directors effective 01st October 2025. Mr. al Jabri has been sitting as the Chairman of Alizz Islamic Bank SAOC since October 2021.
Mr. Al Jabri has vast experience in global corporate, investment, and banking with academic qualifications from prestigious American schools, including the Kellogg School of Management, Harvard Business School, and Darden University, wherein he attained degrees in advanced Management programs.
He has been recently appointed as a member of the advisory board of Alpen Capital, as well as the Chairman of the Audit & Internal Controls Committee at Renaissance Services.
During the period from October 2011 to August 2020, upon issuance of Royal Decree 126/2011, Mr. Yahya Al Jabri was the Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm. This project is part of the government's efforts to accelerate the growth rate, maintain sustainable economic and social development aimed at diversification of resources, particularly in areas like foreign trade, investment, tourism, fisheries, and creation of new job opportunities for the citizens.
In June 1999 - October 2011, Mr. Yahya Al Jabri was appointed, vide Royal Decree 44/1999, as the Executive President of the Capital Market Authority which is a regulatory entity entrusted with the functions of upgrading the efficiency of the Capital Market, regulating its operations and establishing the rules of professional conduct among the participants of the securities market which would help protect investors and the national economy.
Mr. Al Jabri held senior positions in Oman's leading business and financial sectors, he was a member of Directors at the Central Bank Board of Governance of Oman for two terms, a board member of the Oman Investment Fund (OIF), Vice Chairman of Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA), Chairman of Pak Oman Investment Company, Chairman of the Capital Market Authority (CMA), Chairman of Oman Development Bank, Chairman of Public Authority for Investment and Export Development (lthraa), a member of the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Yahya Al Jabri also represented Oman International Bank (former) in the capacity of General Manager until June 1999, where he was responsible for the complete operational aspects of the Bank, which comprised of 81 local and 4 overseas branches in India and Pakistan.
