The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), represented by the Business Council, recently organized a visit to India. The delegation was headed by His Excellency. Qais Bin Mohamed Al-Yousef, Chairman of the Board room, included a number of Omani businessmen including Towell Group delegation representing MS. Abeer Riyadh Sultan that was chosen from among 30 Omani businessmen who represented the Sultanate in this important visit. The delegation held meetings with Indian officials and businessmen and visited a number of private and public establishments. They also met with the official’s in-charge of the Indian Institute of Management (IIMA) and studied the activities and programmes presented by the institute.
They held meetings with businessmen, young entrepreneurs and the minister for textiles who spoke about the importance of innovation and partnership in the business sector. The delegation also had a meeting with the minister of commerce and industry who pointed to the strong economic relations between the Sultanate and India and the importance of boosting investment opportunities. At the end of their visit, the delegation met with Prime Minister. They underscored the need for boosting bilateral relations and fostering economic cooperation between the two countries.
